Super Refined Sesame Oil

Sesame-derived triglyceride that has been purified to yield a water-white, odourless, neutral non-polar lipid with a low peroxide value. Super Refining removes impurities (including primary and secondary oxidation products) from an excipient without altering its chemical composition, helping to reduce API interaction and degradation. Super Refined Sesame finds application as a solvent in the preparation of sustained-release intramuscular/subcutaneous injections of oil soluble actives such as steroids and avermectins. It is used in suspensions and emulsions, ointments, liniments, ophthalmic preparations, suppositories and oral capsules and its improved taste profile enables the formulation of more palatable oral liquid medicines. Also available as a grade that contains no preservatives, a grade containing a reduced level of antioxidants, and a grade with a reduced peroxide value specification. Recommended topical usage levels of 0.5-5%.
